Love is a horrible thing.
It takes you hostage;
You become your own victim,
Torturing yourself,
Being unable to stop yourself.
The pain it develops
Awful
It turns you inside out
So you become vulnerable.
Anyone can mess with your emotions,
The ones you wish didn't exist.
You want them to end.
Making you feel ****** up
Terrible
It gets inside of you
Stabbing at the heart,
"Let me in!" it screams.
Until you give in.
Trapped until it has had enough,
And moves onto someone else
Despair
But the scar remains
Opening at any time.
Letting anyone in.
For something stupid they did,
Like smile at you, talk to you.
Maybe even kiss you
Broken
They're inside of you
You can't get them out.
You want them gone,
But it grows stronger.
You start missing them,
You want to see them
Fragile
Your ribcage is a jail
They can't escape,
Unless they kill it.
But that's impossible,
Like hiding from death,
Or living without oxygen
Tormented
Until they manage to get out
With one simple password:
"Maybe we should just be friends."
It has been murdered,
Leaving you in the darkness,
Crying in the corner
Freedom
You want it back
But it's gone.
Only when you feel a glass splinter
Slicing into your heart.
That's when you realize
It got inside and ripped you apart
Shattered
It wasn't your imagination
It was real.
They weren't imaginary,
They were real.
It took control,
They took over
Disgust
You begin to hate it
You scream for them.
But no one can hear you.
You've built a wall
To protect yourself.
No one can hurt you again
Loneliness
Love is a horrible thing
It turns you inside out.
It gets inside of you.
There's nothing worse,
But there's nothing better.
Creator and destroyer
Love
It takes you hostage;
You become your own victim,
Torturing yourself,
Being unable to stop yourself.
The pain it develops
Awful
It turns you inside out
So you become vulnerable.

I found this poem accidentally in a social website full of perverts. It's quite prodded the deepest thought of mine about how I feel about love. It's always complicated. But I love complicated. LOL. Love is always the sweetest and bitterest, a sense of contradiction.
May God bless us in this wide wide world.....
